What's a friend?

I met many people
going straight on my way.
I met every kind of people
going straight on my way.

I was so happy
to have known them;
I felt myself the happiest boy
because I had too many people around me.

I believed they my friends,
I believed I have understood what "friendship" meant,
but I was wrong:
they went away, leaving me alone.

One day I met only one person
going back on my way.
She walked alone like me.
She was sad like me.

She has also depened on false friends;
she has also believed they friends;
she has also been happy;
she has also felt herself the happiest girl.

We held each other's hands
and walked together.
I felt that I could depend on her;
I felt that she wouldn't go away.

I underatood what "friendship" meant,
I understood what "to be friends" meant,
I understood what " to depend on someone" meant,
and finally I understood what "to love someone" meant.

Just now I can say what a friend is.
