The truth behind Love

The wolf loved the rabbit
and confessed with its teeth.
The wolf called it love,
the rabbit called it hunger.
Neither of them were wrong.
“I’m sorry — said the wolf,
its eyes full of guilt —
I don’t know why I bite.”
The rabbit smiled, while
thick, red blood was flowing
on its white fur.
“I understand, hunger
has blinded you.
Eat me, until you’re
full enough to survive,
make sure my
existence was worthy.”
